The purpose of the Arts Council is to develop, promote, support, and sponsor the fine, applied and performing arts and humanities, as well as, performances, exhibitions, and activities involving the same.  The Council shall provide free quality artistic programs, whenever possible, to enhance the lives of our patrons regardless of economic and geographical limitations.

Leslie schauvliege

PCAHC Executive Director

Leslie Schauvliege has been the Executive Director of the Ponca City Arts and Humanities Council since January 2007. Leslie is responsible for scheduling artists and exhibits, writing grant requests and overseeing all areas of administration and budgeting of the PCA&H Council. Under Leslie's leadership, PCA&H Council has been able to deliver amazing programming to the citizens of Ponca City at no charge. When asked about why she is passionate about her job, she says:

"I know the Arts can enhance the soul and spirit.  Art helps us to appreciate creative ideas, to enhance the world around us, and to discover new passions. I believe a strong Arts presence in Ponca City makes our community a better place to live. "
Ponca City Arts and Humanities is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit and is funded by grants from the Oklahoma Arts Council and from generous community donors. All donations are tax-deductible and all events are provided at no cost to the public.
